Mentoring Matters – November Talk (2020) Online Event

Date: Novermber 12, 2020
Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM PDT

How To Stop Stress From Killing You

We all have stress in our lives, and how we deal with it makes all the difference between personal success and self-sabotage. Using primary and secondary research, Professor Pete will lead an interactive experience to teach participants how to get quick and easy stress relief in just minutes.

Key takeaways:

  • Immediate stress relief so participants can protect their health and handle challenging situations with grace
  • By implementing at least one technique, participants can better become leaders people want to follow rather than hide from

Meet Our Featured Mentor: Professor Pete Alexander

A recovering, hard-driving leader with over 35 years of Sales, Marketing and Entrepreneurial experience, Professor Pete successfully battled the negative effects of stress head-on and developed the LIGHTEN™ stress relief model that will motivate you and/or your team to take action in only a few minutes per day. After learning the stress relief techniques Professor Pete facilitates, participants can better become leaders teams want to follow rather than hide from. His friendly, humorous demeanor and customized approach will relate well to you and your teams and guarantees full value is delivered.

Online Event Information

As we receive registrations to this event, we will collect email addresses of attendees. As the event date gets closer, we will be sending out the Zoom link for the event via email. Along with this information, we will send out a guide on how to gain the most out of the session.

Attendees will have the ability to chat with each other just like you would in an onsite networking event. We plan to allocate 15-20 minutes of the event to online moderated networking.

To make the networking event even more interesting, we are imagining now that the event is scheduled online, we could have the presence of attendees from many parts of the world. This should add some fun and interesting aspects of interactions to all of us participating in the event.

Regarding Coronavirus COVID-19

The Mentoring Club is monitoring guidance about the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic on a daily basis.

With the spread of COVID-19 in many parts of the world including the Bay Area/Silicon Valley where we are based out of and originally planned on conducting this event, we are moving this onsite event to completely online.

We support the lockdown/social distancing response to the crisis geared towards flattening the COVID-19 curve (slowing the spread of the virus) and helping our healthcare workers and systems manage their services and prevent them from experiencing enormous stress and potential collapse.

We encourage everyone to exercise the following personal protective protocol to ensure that we limit our exposure and risk to the virus: practice social distancing, eat healthy foods and supplements, get restorative sleep, and find creative ways to exercise indoors and follow your specific location’s official directives for exercising outdoors. We hope everyone stays calm and informed. Avoid panic, and most of all, enjoy the journey of learning despite the challenges of COVD-19.
